The ASC (Advanced Sensors Calibration) GmbH has its headquarters in Pfaffenhofen and is one of the leading manufacturers of accelerometers, angular rate sensors and IMUs (inertial measurement units).The high quality of ASC GmbH products, customised solutions and fast delivery times are convincing arguments for many leading global companies from various branches of industry. ASC sensors are used, for example, in crash tests in road vehicle development, to monitor safety and wear and tear in rail vehicles, to monitor the stability of wind turbines or to measure the swaying of container ships. The manager of the company is Renate Bay. She has been a manager of the company since 2011, initially with responsibility for the areas of financial controlling, marketing and operational organisation, and in October 2014 she became the sole manager. Peter Bay, who founded the company in 2006 and who was also a managing director in the subsequent years, retired from operational day-to-day involvement in October 2014. However, he continues to contribute to the work of ASC on the basis of over 20 years of experience in vibration measurement systems, and he is the head of the calibration laboratory.
