Company Description

In 1996, the fGYRO CO LTD research chemists from Korea Institute of Footwear and Leather Technology (KIFLT) had a dream of building an ideal company. They are Mr. Kang, Charles, Eric and Danny (president of the company now) who settled the base in Busan, Korea, developed the wheel for K2 inline skate, and installed the equipments for the production of wheels.
They entered into the inline skate market in Korea in 2004 by launching the new brand name GYRO. The inline skate market was booming in Korea and so many manufacturers and brands emerged and perished during the period. GYRO was able to secure its solid ground in Korea by supplying under contract with Samsung Sports, who had 200 franchisee stores throughout the nation.
In 2005, GYRO expanded its territory to OEM exports, starting with SUPERSONIC Wheel, France. A GYRO Cup Indoor Track Competition was held in Seattle in May, 2005. The company has been able to concentrate on developing the wheels by establishing an officially approved Auxiliary Research Institute, after moving the base to Janglim-dong, Saha-gu, Busan in November, 2005.
A foundation for the globalization of GYRO was made in 2006. Starting with Asian buyers, GYRO went on to contract with buyers from Middle East, Europe and the States. That year GYRO was awarded as The Most Excellent Enterprise by Busan City.
The first GYRO inline skate team was launched in 2007.
The very first GYRO boots were developed in 2009 and the manufacturing facility was expanded following the installation of the injection machines.
GYRO wheels are exported to some 30 countries in 4 continents at the moment. Also, it has expanded the line of its brand export to boots, frames and inline accessories. In addition, the wheels for tens of global brands are manufactured by GYRO factory under OEM. The four chemists never stop pouring their energy into researching for the manufacture of world's tip-top wheels.
