Dara e Noor is one of the most valleys of Hindu Kush Mountains forty kilometers from Jalalabad city with total population of approximately fifty thousand basically Pashai speaking and majority of them engaged in farming and livestock but in last few years only poppy was cultivated in these lands. The Noor Rose project started in 2004 as an alternative for cultivation of rose replacing opium and poppy. Mohammadi Rose is one of the best rose species and can be cultivated in all fNoor Rose seasons and seven ton of rose is yielded yearly and rose water and oil is extracted.
