Company Description

Sover was founded in 1962 at Soverzene in the Province of Belluno, in an area Soverll-known worldwide for the production of glasses. The first steps of the Company were immediately directed towards the production of injected sunglasses. The Cannicci family joined the Company in 1964, laying the foundations to increase production, turnover and therefore profitability. Within a short space of time brilliant results started coming in, facilitated by a continuous process of commercial development in the markets and countries that were traditional clients of the Italian eyewear industry. Since the beginning of the 1980s the industrial activity of Sover has been gaining strength on the market thanks to major investments in machinery, new technologies and methods of product distribution. At the head of Sover is Paolo Cannicci, a man who has been fascinated by glasses from childhood. He has been Chairman of this family-run Company since 1983, when he first joined the Company, taking over its management from his father. The Cannicci family most certainly has a passion for spectacles, since his sister Giovanna, his brother Vittorio and his nephew Stefano also work for the Company, focusing on production and commercial development and the marketing strategies of the Group.
