Trinricos administrative offices are located at 141-143 coffee street, san fernando and the factory is located in reform village, gasparillo, south trinidad. The factory was established in reform village for two reasons.

Principally, the need to create job opportunities for a community traditionally dependent on the sugar cane industry, which was in decline at the time.

Secondly, the need to cater to the growing local building and construction industry, with high quality products and materials of local origin.

Both objectives have been satisfied by the establishment of trinrico steel and wire products limited, and today, trinrico continues to honor its initial objectives by seeking out new avenues for diversifying its manufacturing base.

Established in 1973, trinrico comprises a modern plant of specialized equipment for the manufacture of a wide range of construction related products designed for the use on both Trinrico Steel & Wire Products Limited local and foreign markets. The plant covers an area of almost 13,902 square meters with plans for substantial expansion shortly.

Trinrico offers a complete line of building components, which include zinc coated nails and plain nails, smooth and deformed welded wire mesh, galvanized and vinyl-coated chain link fencing wire, barbed wire, drawn wire, annealed wire, mild steel rods and rebars.

All the factorys products conform to and exceed the standards set by world acknowledged testing institutions such as the british standards institute, the french specifications, american society for testing materials and the canadian standard specifications.

Trinrico continues to be the largest caribbean producer of downstream steel products.


Our quality control department monitor on a daily basis the standard of production of goods and services in relation to standard specifications.

Product quality control is of great importance to the entire organization. We at trinrico recognize the importance of providing prime products of the highest quality to our customers. This is accomplished through our elaborate system of monitoring analyzing and testing procedure from raw material to finish product, to ensure conformance to present requirements for both local and international standards.

Trinricos raw material is presently sourced from two major suppliers:

Wire rod which is categorized in various sizes, grades and tensile strength is purchased locally from caribbean ispat limited.

Galvanized wire and vinyl coated(pvc) wire is imported from the highest quality mills.

All raw materials which are supplied from both local and international suppliers are thoroughly inspected to ensure conformance to all standards i. E. Size, grade and tensile. This is further verified by the inclusion of documents such as packing list and test certificate from suppliers.



Raw material
Wire coils are used in the manufacturing of products such as welded wire mesh, nails, straighten and cut mild steel rods and rebars etc.

Galvanised wire is used for the manufacturing of chain link fencing and barbed wire

Vinyl coated(pvc) wire is also used for the manufacturing of chain link fencing



Testing is an essential part of trinricos quality control department. During the production process, vigorous and continuous testing is carried out to ensure conformance to all standards so that our customers will receive products of the highest quality.
