Pwani Oil Products Limited (POP) in Mombasa, Kenya is one of the largest manufacturers of high quality edible vegetable oils & fats, margarine, and laundry & toilet soaps in the East and Central African region. In 2006, POP was awarded the 2nd overall prize at the Kenya Quality Awards hosted by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KeBS) and in August 2005, Pwani Oil Products were issued with the Diamond mark of quality by KeBS. We have systems (soon to be certified) that are compliant with ISO 9001:2000 and HACCP. POP was established in 1985 and its products command a large share of not only the Kenyan but COMESA market – Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the DRC, Somaliland, Sudan, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Zambia, Malawi, and Madagascar. Since our factory is uniquely located at the port city of Mombasa, we are well positioned to explore export markets particularly African countries along the Indian Ocean. PRINCIPLE PRODUCTS Fully refined pure vegetable oil: cholesterol free, rich in vitamin E, ideal for both deep and shallow frying. Available in pack sizes from 500ml to 20 litre jerry cans. Pure white and yellow cooking fats: cholesterol free with vitamin A.D. and E. Available in pack sizes from 50gm to 17kg buckets. Laundry bar soaps: suitable for laundry and washing kitchen utensils. Available in many sizes, colours and perfumes. ‘Sawa Bath Soap’: a quality affordable toilet soap, presented in cartons of 72 x 80 g. Available in three attractive colours of pink, yellow and white each with a uniquely distinct fragrance! The soap includes a special formula that cleanses, moisturizes, protects and enhances the natural appearance of your skin.
