Company Description

Z.Naxiades Tobacco in Leaves  S.A is a traditional exporter of processed /manipulated and fermented/ Greek tobacco .The activities of Z.NAXIADES TOBACCO IN LEAVES S.A date back to 1890 when a leaf tobacco company was founded in Xanthi, Greece, by Nikolas Naxiades. Historical events at the beginning of 20th Century forced us to  relocate the company  in Thessaloniki, where a new factory was built (1909-1910).
On September 1960 , the company was renamed  as : " ZAFIRIS  NAXIADES  TOBACCO IN LEAVES  S.A" ,continuing to have   the Head Office till today in :Thessaloniki, 161  Langada  Street , Gr-56123 .

Today, the company owns 2 factories both located  in Thessaloniki ,employing  30 full time  personal and 500 seasonal .

The production capacity is  about 70 Tons per day for each  factory.

The annual production of leaf  tobacco is about 5.000 Tons (for  all  tobacco processed :Virginia FC , Greek Oriental and Burley ), with possibility of storing in our own facilities  approx.15.000 tons  manipulated tobacco.

We process tobacco to meet each customer's specifications for quality, yield, chemistry, particle size, moisture content and other characteristics . Customer representatives are frequently present at our facilities to monitor the processing of their particular orders

Presently, we  are  looking for  new  opportunities  of setting      business contacts with  new clients (manufacturers  of cigarettes , ryo , cut rag ), who  might be interested testing  our tobaccos.
