African Gateway Oil is a company based in the south basin of Durban, South Africa, a location close to refineries of Engen, Shell and BP.

African Gateway Oil works closely with South African companies to supply them with crude oil originating from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran, Iraq as African Gateway Oilll as West Africa.

African Gateway Oil also markets and distributes South African manufactured petroleum products within South Africa, in Africa as well as elsewhere in the world.

Mr Ian Ngubane, the CEO and Managing Director of the company, is well-known in the petroleum industry in South Africa having worked for Shell and BP Refinery for 9 years. During this period he served the oil industry with distinction in the field of product movement.

Although, African Gateway Oil is fairly young company, it offers opportunities for outside companies to enter the South African oil markets with the advent of giving business to Historically Disadvantaged Individuals(HDI's). As a fully fledged Black Economic Empowerment(BEE) company, African Gateway Oil is currently involved in discussions to form joint ventures with various players upstream and downstream.
