Introduction:

Al Parveen Paper Mills (Pvt.) Ltd. (APPM), established in 1994-95 is situated in Kotri Industrial area, Pakistan.

Initially manufacturing only Test Liner and Waterproof Liner APPM has broadened its range of products by commissioning one of the first, fully automated Writing/-Printing Paper and Kraft, plant in the region.

Plant and Machinery:

APPM comprises of two paper machines (PM1&2). PM1 is capable of manufacturing Test Liner as Al Parveen Paper Mills (Pvt) Ltdll as Waterproof Liner and PM2 is proficient enough to manufacture Writing/-Printing and Kraft paper. These products can be produced in various sizes, grammages and colors.

These two paper machines have their separate pulp divisions designed according to the requirement of their particular product. Among other procedures intensive refining, cleansing and de- inking of the pulp takes place here, before it reaches the paper machine.

PM1 requires 100% recycled paper and PM2 requires a percentage of raw material called Mixed Office Waste(MOW) which is imported from various countries such as Brazil, USA and Canada. This imported pulp is known as Virgin Pulp. The remaining amount of raw material is procured from local vendors. Raw Material procured locally consists of used cement bags, press cuttings, used writing and reading paper, corrugated boxes and cartons
A large quantity of chemicals (Gum Rosin, Soda Ash, Starch, etc.) is imported as well.
