Amos Rich Nurseries, Inc History In order to share our history, I need to share a little bit about the community where we come from... The Oregon Nursery Company (and surrounding community) were established in 1905, within a 1200 acre area owned by the company. Amos and his father Christian both worked for Oregon Nursery Co. in the 1920&＃039;s. As a result of the stock market crash of 1929 and the depression that followed Oregon Nursery Company was forced to shut down. Unsure of what lay ahead Christian decided to start a nursery business of his own in early 1930. Chris (as he was known by his family) and his sons Amos and Sam created a successful nursery business which became known as Rich & Sons Nursery. In 1965 Sam and Amos decided to seperate each creating his own new nursery. Sam continued under the name Rich & Sons and in late fall of 1965 Amos Rich Nurseries, Inc. was born. Since then we&＃039;ve always been a family owned and operated small business. In 1985 we relocated from our original homestead on Cornelius Pass Road to our current location on Rood Bridge Road in rural Hillsboro.
