(BTI) specializes in acquiring, developing and marketing of intellectual properties, products and licenses; primarily of a technological nature into the domestic US and global markets. It is the intent of the company to avoid costly development projects by acquiring patents and favorable licensing agreements with independent developers and companies for products and licenses for niche market targets. In line with its aggressive acquisition program it has acquired the Genesis Alert System® and its related patents. Genesis Alert® is an in situ aquatic monitoring system which provides early warning of significant toxic loads, from oil spills to bio-threats. The Company has also acquired an exclusive license for Envirowatch, an environmental super site and its proprietary search engine, this site was also developed by Baxter Technologies and integrates with GenAlert SystemÒ to provide threshold data notification via the Internet.

The US is the world's largest producer and consumer of environmental goods and services, accounting for 40% of the world's market, according to Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD.). The OECD states 'The US environmental equipment industry [alone] includes industrial air pollution control equipment, water and waste water systems, solid waste/recycling, hazardous and toxic waste technologies, and the emerging pollution prevention industry... The OECD report estimated this market [alone] to be approximately... $300 billion by the year 2000.' World markets for this sector are estimated at $530 billion.'
