Since 1960, Berti has been the leading manufacturer of Egyptian gifts and Handcrafts. The company was founded by Berti Said who established a retail shop in Cairo oldest market of Khan el Khalili. Berti based his company on sponsoring the manual skills of artists that are transmitted from one generation to the next.

In 1985, Bahaa Berti took on the management of the company and expanded the manufacturing of in-laid mother of pearl boxes.

All Berti Import & Export products are hand-made in Egypt by Egyptian artists and reflect the artists heritage and skills that have been passed from one generation the next.
