Bottega S.p.A. was founded in 1977 by Aldo Bottega, master distiller with more than 30 years of experience in this sector, who inherited from his grandfather, skillful wine merchant during the 20s, the passion for the world of wines. In 1983, when Aldo died, his son Sandro Bottega was only 18 and with no experience in the wine trading. But what he did have was a strong entrepreneurial spirit and love for wines. So, he took over as president of the company, with the precious support of his mother, Rosina, and the help of his sister Barbara and his brother Stefano. Within a few years Bottega and its wines and liqueurs became popular all over the world.Today Bottega is a solid business distributing high quality Italian wines, grappa and spirits in more than 130 countries and in most airports duty free shops of the world. Its headquarters are located in Bibano, Treviso (45 km north of Venice), in a 19th-century farmhouse painstakingly restructured to preserve the original architecture, surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards. The group also operates with other two wineries in the Valpolicella area and in Montalcino, where the great red wines of Veneto and Tuscany are made.Aiming to produce and distribute the best Italian wines, grappa and spirits worldwide, Bottega made quality, creativity and social and environmental responsibility its core values.
