Guibourtia conjugata (CHACATE PRETO)



Commercial Names: Chacate, Chacate Preto

Description:  The heartwood is dark brown near black with lighter honey brown longitudinal streaks. Moderately lustrous. Grain is interlocked and fine textured. Chacate saws and planes rather easily.

Specifications and utility: Sands to a smooth finish. Glues well. Good for varnishing and polishing. Very resistant to fungal and insect attacks. Special furniture, turnery, and carving.

We are authorized to export this type of precious specie in sawn into boards, planks, beams, joists, strips and patterned flooring.

The Government of cameroon in its Minister Council deliberated that the 1st class wood species can only be exported processed and never in logs.
