Carnipor was founded in 1995 in Vallelado, Segovia (Spain) , it is a pork industry dedicated to the quartering and manufacturing of pork products: serrano hams, Spanish sausages, belly, shoulders, loin The products manufactured by Carnipor are marketed under two different branches: ECOTORRE for organic pork products PICOTORRE for conventional pork products The manufacturing of organic pork products is possible thanks to a thorough control of production-from raw materials to pork products. Carnipor introduced in 2002 a thorough traceability system, from the animals feed to the farms and meat products. In the meat industry traceability means the control of information of a product, knowing at all times the raw materials origin, the ingredients, even the destination of a sold product. CARNIPOR supply El Corte Ingles, the biggest chain store in Spain, and have begun to export our products to some countries in the European Union. Last year we obtained two prizes: Prize to the best company in the area and Prize to the best manufacturer of organic products in Castilla y Leon given by Ecocultura 2006.
