Established in 1973, CGDB has at first acquired a great experience in machining special alloys and titanium mainly used in the top fields of industry and automotive components. In 1983 CGDB decided to take up exclusively the production of implants for orthopaedics and traumatology under Bioimplants trade-mark, thus making the best of its engineering and technological knowledge. Every innovation should aim at serving the orthopaedic surgeon since its first steps. Every feature of the prostheses and of their surgical instruments is therefore validated and "in-vivo" monitored in specialized centres, in Italy and abroad, before launching the implant into the market. Bibliographical researches, clinical, experimental and functional investigations, CAD-CAM, FEM analysis, materials engineering: all of them are an integral part of the designing phase that precedes the clinical validation of a new product. All proposals for a new product and any market trends are carefully evaluated by Bioimplants�® staff of engineers working in close contact with end-users and product specialists
