Cheribrin Limited is a limited liability company incorporated in the Republic of Kenya whose core business is agribusiness oriented specifically dealing in the production and packaging of high quality honey that is endemic to Tharaka and farming of a variety of indigenous cereals such as green grams, sorghum and other orphaned crops that naturally do Cheribrim Limitedll in the region and internationally PRODUCT FOCUS 1) Green grams: Anchor crop and flagship of the venture since the crop is traditionally grown in the area which is the biggest producing region in the country. The crop has also the advantage of having a sustained demand both locally and in the international market as a highly nutritious food product. 2) Sorghum: Though Sorghum also does well in the region it will be considered as a secondary farming line since it is largely sold for brewing purposes which requires a considerable amount of capacity and specialization to deliver factory prescribed quality. 3) Honey: Tharaka is naturally endowed with honey producing bee colonies which produce best honey quality being a dry region. Though most farmers have traditionally harvested honey over the years their biggest short coming has been marketing a distribution channel that Cheribrin would be happy to over as an alternative business line. 4) Horticultural production: Tharaka is endowed with a river and tributary network which with sufficient capitalization can be a great asset in horticultural production. In subsequent phases Cheribrin Limited seeks to apply the cereals model to unlock this potential. 5) Other cereals: Being a semi arid region the area has over the years produced indigenous cereals that are commercially unavailable to produce as an income generator and are on the verge of being extinct.
