Shenzhen Wuzhoulong Motors Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise integrating the production of environment friendly bus, trade of automobile parts and manufacturing of leaf springs on automobiles. Established in 1987, the company is located at Baolong Industrial City of Long Gang District in Shenzhen. Occupying about 100, 000 square meters, it owns an U-shaped factory layout, including chassis, China Shenzhen Wuzhoulong Motors .CO., LTDlding, painting, assembly and test workshops, as well as more than 1000 (sets) of advanced manufacturing facilities. Combining such hard sources with soft one---- 800 employees, among whom more than 150 are professional automobile technicians, the production capability of Wuzhoulong has reached 5000 buses each year. Since its establishment, Wuzhoulong positions at environment friendly bus, and aims at becoming the largest environment friendly bus manufacturer. During 5 years from 2001, the company has invested about 100 million yuan to develop hybrid bus. Within one year, it successfully developed 2 hybrid bus models, which have passed the new technology authentication organized by Guangdong Economy and Commerce Committee and Guangdong Science & Technology. After long-term test in market, the performance of the models are in the leading position in China, since the models save energy by more than 25%, meeting the requirements of European III Emission Standards. In 2003, the hybrid bus project of the company was listed among the key construction projects of Shenzhen. In 2004, it got support from the Creation Fund of the Science & Technology Ministry. In 2005, the industrialization of hybrid power automobiles was acknowledged as high-tech project. This project won more than 10 patents, and the products won two prizes of best environment friendly bus on the Second Bus Contest. In November, 2005, the hybrid power bus project was listed into the “863” High-tech Plan of the nation. At the same time, it was put into formal business operation in Long Gang, Shenzhen. At the end of 2005, the Wuzhoulong hybrid power bus was exported to Macao. At the beginning of 2006, the Wuzhoulong hybrid power bus passed the appointed national type authentication (type test), which all conforms to the technical requirements. In March 2006, the company signed an agreement with a list company in USA.
