Diamond Building Products Public Company Limited has commenced its business operation since year 1985 under the company name, Siam City Tiles and Pipes Company Limited, which was originally an affiliated company of Siam City Cement Public Company Limited. Therefore, the business was restricted only as the producer of roofing tiles and pipes for Siam City Cement Public Company Limited who was responsible for the marketing and distribution of all of products through its own wholesaler network.At the time when Siam City Cement Public Co., Ltd. had a change in its shareholding structure, there was also a change in the business policy of Siam City Cement Public Co., Ltd. group of companies. As a result, on December 26, 2002, Siam City Cement Public Co., Ltd. sold all of its shares in the Company to Myriad Materials Co., Ltd., which had been established as a holding company, having a group of Mr. Chaiyut Srivikorn, a group of Mr. Prakit Pradipasen and a group of Khun Ying Sasima Srivikorn become the major shareholders, holding direct and indirect shares in Myriad Materials Co., Ltd. at 40.00 percent, 25.11 percent and 25.00 percent, respectively.Furthermore, the Company terminated the production of asbestos cement pipe, which had originally been the main product, due to the fact that the product started to lose market demand. On April 3, 2001, the Company formally changed its name to Diamond Roofing Tiles Company Limited, which currently is one of major roofing tiles producers and distributors of Thailand. The Company was incorporated as a public company limited on December 2, 2004 and January 12, 2011 resolved to approve for the change of the name from Diamond Roofing Tiles Public Company Limited to Diamond Building Products Public Company Limited and resolved to approve for the change of stamp, Articles of Association and Memorandum of Association of the Company in order to be in line with the change of Company nameThe company is the manufacturer and distributor of roofing tiles, boards and ceilings, siding boards, and other roof accessories and non roof products as Diamond Building Products PLCll as the service provider for roof stripping and installation under the trade names of Diamond, Roof, Adamas, and Jearanai. The factory locates at Saraburi province on the area of more than 147 Rais with total 711 employees.
