Dongguan Bio Lighting EnvironmentTechnology Co., Ltd. (BIOLE) is established with investmentspearheaded by Dongguan Institute of Opto-Electronics, PekingUniversity(PKU-IOE). It specializes in biolighting with businessarea ranging from basic science research and product development tocustomer service and overall solutions. Founded in 2013, it islocated in the state-level Songshan Lake (SSL) High-Tech IndustrialPark in Dongguan, Guangdong.Professor Gan Zizhao, renownedphysicist and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS),serves as the founder and policy maker of the company. BIOLE basesits core technologies on researches at the Research Center for WideGap Semiconductor of PKU and the Bio Lighting Environment ResearchCenter of PKU-IOE, providing dedicated solutions for biolight-sDongguan Bio Lighting Environment Technoce customization. The company features a research anddevelopment facility with a 1000 sq. m product lab in SSL High-TechPark, and a 17000 sq. m manufacturing facility in the Science andTechnology Park at the booming ecological and industrial town ofQishi.Since BIOLE’s inception, researchhas always been the driving force. Major results by the researchteam include: R&D and production of plants lighting supplementlamps and plants growth lamp; improvement in animal lightingequipment such as growth lamps for fowl and cattle as well asproduction boosting light sources in aquaculture; R&D in humancentric lightings with product lines in lighting for therapeutictreatment, for medical cosmetology, and for health care; and in theapplications of photocatalysis and UV sterilization, development ofproduct lines for air purification, water purification and chemicalresidue decomposition. In the next stage, BIOLE is planning tocombine the information technology of IOT (Internet of Thigns) withdemands for artificial lighting environment to develop smartcontrol systems of lighting environment to meet different needs forhumans and for animals, thus provide lighting solutions to adjustbiorhythms.At the same time BIOLE has built uppartnerships and cooperations with many research institutes,including Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences, *** Test Base forNational Biology Center***, Institute of Botany (Beijing) of theCAS, Chengdu Institute of Biology of the CAS, South China BotanicalGarden of the CAS, School of Life Sciences of Shandong University,and School of Life Sciences of Sun Yat-Sen University. In June2013, the tobacco nursey lighting solution experiment jointlycarried out by BIOLE and ***the Test Base for National BiologyCenter*** was declared a success. BIOLE undertook the project todevelop the plants lighting environment system in spacecrafts forChinese Space City, and successfully delivered in July 2013. InAugust 2013 the company took on research for the lightingenvironment light source of Lunar Palace 1 and the correspondingpower source solution, and became the designated provider for theplants lighting system of Beihang University’s Lunar Palace1.At BIOLE we uphold a businessphilosophy of innovating through science and technology and valuingcustomer service foremost.
