About “Ekran - Optical Systems”. “Ekran - Optical Systems” (closed joint –stock company) was established in November 05, 2004 as a result of restructuring of the Novosibirsk plant “Ekran” (public corporation). Novosibirsk plant “Ekran” was one of the leading producers of photoelectronic multipliers in the world and leading producer of electronic image intensifiers of 0-generation in Russia. The plant managed to find markets to sell its products under decreased government financing. Most of products Ekran-optical Systemsre exported to 47 countries. The share of the instruments in total output was about 40%. “Ekran - Optical Systems” is the only producer of the electronic image intensifiers of 0-generation in the world. Company mainly produces 0 and 2+-generation image intensifiers. Image Intensifiers are the main components of noctovisors, used for night-viewing under moon and star light and in complete darkness (with the help of in-built infrared light). The range of vision is up to 350 meters. “Ekran - Optical Systems” is the only producer of 0-generation image intensifiers. Image intensifiers of this generation are the main components in civil noctovisor production. Only 3-4% of 2+–generation of image intensifiers are used in civil noctovisor production. Our plant produces image intensifiers of “0”-generation of 3 basic constructions: V2 group V8 group EP 34 “Ekran - Optical Systems” is one of the main producers of 2(+)-generation image intensifiers in Russia. Our plant produces 14 modifications with different characteristics and bundling. In addition to main products, “Ekran- Optical Systems” specializes in other products for technical and industrial purposes, like photomultipliers for medicine, radiation dosimetry, scientific researches, geodesy, celestial guidance, space technology etc.
