Taking advantage of PCM technology which we are in possession of patent, we can create sand casting cores and sand molds directly from CAD data, the finished parts are available immediately for casting. Compared to the traditional technique, we do not need to build molds, therefore greatly save cost and time. It is especially appropriate to manufacture prototypes, functional samples or small batch production, widely applied in industries of automobile, aerospace, aviation, ship building, mechanism, pump, etc. Main Process: 1. Input 3D drawing to special software, stratify the parts into paper-thin layers, thickness of each layer is about 0.3mm. 2. Input data to another software to control the PCM machine to create sand cores and sand molds. 3. PCM machine dispense foundry grade resin on the sand according to the shape of sand cores (or sand molds), this part of sand is bonded, then pave another layer of sand on it, dispense resin again, repeat these operation, after layers of layers stacking, sand cores and sand molds are formed at the same time. 4. Remove the unbound sand, do post processing, get sand cores and sand molds ready to cast.
