Garden & Koala San. Tic. Ltd. was established in 1987 in Adana. For 25 years, it has been manufacturing potted ornamental plants for indoor and outdoor. Continuously renovating its studies in this sector through an innovative point of view, GK is a company that has adopted being always a pioneer and leader in its position. The fact that the greenhouses Garden&Koalare established in the Region of Çukurova 25 years before indicates how important G&K is for this sector. With its innovative concept, G&K always wants to do the best by using all kinds of technological means required by today’s conditions in terms of its greenhouses and especially of production and sales. 50 permanent and 60 temporary persons are employed within the body of the company. Manufacturing is carried out on 147.000 m2 of area in total; 87.000 m2 closed and 60.000 m2 open space. 2.500.000 pieces of ornamental plants in 40 main species are manufactured annually. The company will have a say in internal and external markets by manufacturing 250.000 pieces of Orchids per year with its high technology glass greenhouse investment for the manufacturing of Orchids, which will be first implemented in Turkey. Our company addresses to the whole of Turkish market and performs the transport of its products with its special vehicles appropriate for the carriage of plants. The reason for this is to deliver the plant in the healthiest way to the final consumer that is the most important thing for us. Besides, G&K works to increase its export potential, which has been continuing for many years. It aims to present new products to the world market in the year 2012 through its new projects and products. Our company imports from China, Taiwan, Germany, Italy, Guatemala, Costa Rica, San Salvador, and particularly from Netherlands. Our company also has started its plant passport applications with the aim of raising the manufacturing standards and increasing brand values. As of September 2012, the company transferred 50 % of its shares to Ayvalı Seracılık, which is the biggest ornamental plants marketing company of Turkey. In further works, the company will proceed in a stronger way.
