She had a prior experience of managing her fashion boutique for twenty years in the city of Agra, India. Anju had a strong sense of design since childhood. She had started her boutique with a determination of being independent and doing something in life. The boutique was a humble beginning of Anjus entrepreneurial venture at a young age. And after that there were many ups and downs but there was no looking back! Anju has been a trend setter in many ways. She loves to travel around the world. She enjoys keeping in touch with her friends and values relationships above everything else. Once while walking along the Fifth Avenue, a large Amethyst geode at a store caught her attention. It was the beginning of her fascination for gemstones. She started studying about gemstones, did a course on colored gemstones from GIA, New York and also worked in a gemstone company for a short period. She gained a wealth of knowledge by travelling to different places to understand the entire supply-chain of gemstones. And then she started Gempro, with the objective of sharing the beauty and power of gemstones with the world. Anju strongly believes that business has the power to give back to the society. She laid Social Welfare as one of the missions of Gempro. When she is not occupied with company affairs or travelling, Anju spends time to promote entrepreneurship amongst Indian women. Gempro has been creating new products for global markets from jewellery and artifacts to tiles and wellness products. While our manufacturing units are based in India and China, we source minerals from many other countries too.
