Group8 is German-Latvian company.
Cement business is new for us, but during few last months group8 Baltic SIA have received very good experience.
We have very serious buyers.
During few weeks we have received hundreds offers from potential suppliers. Total amount of offered cement is in few times more, than it is produced worldwide during last 5 years. A lot of them are talking about not existing payment tools and use drafts of contracts which are written "under a carbon paper" with the same spelling mistakes. All of them offer very strong procedure for buyer, including all kind of proofs of our solvency without any proofs of product from their side.
During August we'll have total order on amount about 1 200 000 MT of cement and at least 300 000 MT of clinker. We are ready to prepare new contracts for 2008 on appr. 2 Mio MT.
Future is hopes, what is in your hands is reality. In our hands today we have orders on 425 000 MT confirmed by Bank of America and Nordea bank Finland. We are ready to send mentioned LOI's immediately but to serious suppliers only.
A lot of suppliers offer their "non discussible procedures". We want to offer ours. We respect our potential partners and our procedure is "discussible", but from our point of view it is the best, if our aims are not games with nice looking papers, but business.
Step. 1 We send to you LOI's with all dates of our banks, including names of banks officers and their phone numbers etc. Seller can do Soft probe without any problems.
Our Buyers' banks are: Bank of America, Vneshtorgbank-one of the biggest Russian bank and Nordea bank Finland.
Step2. Both parties are signing NCNDA and IMFPA by e-mail, hard copies of these documents are going for signing by regular mail.
Step 3. Seller sends to us FCO, his portfolio and Proof of Product.
Step 4. In case everything is OK, we are sending to the Seller our draft of contract.
Main and important for us articles in the potential contract:
1. Size of Perfomance Bond is 5% from value of monthly shipment.
2. We shall work with SGS inspection only. For serious analyses SGS needs term at least 28 days. To make any proper analyses "in the port of lading", as it written in the all drafts of contracts we have seen before, impossible even in theory. This is reason why we have to know manufacturer at least one month before lading and SGS will start quality check on the plant.
3. We are ready to take very serious responsibility concerning our obligations and we want to see the same from our Seller. We are ready to pay 5% penalty from total value of Contract in case we shall refuse to buy product after signing of Contract and we want to receive the same penalties from the Seller in case he will be not able to sell us product after signing of Contract. These obligations from our side will be confirmed by our banks, from the Seller's side by his bank, or manufacturer or other "solvent third party" at his choice.
4. We are ready to discuss different payment tools including prepayment. It will depend on price and some other conditions. In case we shall use one of the variants of LC, for its activation we'll need PB, mentioned guaranties and copy of freight contract on the first monthly shipment.
All other conditions are absolutely usual and I don't think we'll have any disputes.
I want to repeat: our conditions are discussible, but in case they are suitable for you, I'm sure we are able to sign first contracts in one week. The more changes and the longer discussions, the less chances to sign it ever.
