Introduction and Background:
Modern Group is pioneer, in Textile and High Voltage Porcelain Insulators in India. The Group, emerged on the corporate scene in 1973, and is managed by a very dynamic and professional entrepreneur, Mr. H.S. Ranka and his dedicated team. Modern Group has five manufacturing units, with a manpoGujarat Polyfils (Modern Group)r base of about 7000 employees, and sales turnover exceeding 300 Million US Dollars.

Modern Insulators Limited (MIL), a flagship company of the Modern Group, was set up in 1985 at Abu Road ., Rajasthan in technical collaboration with Siemens AG, Germany, for manufacture of High Voltage Porcelain Insulators.

Modern Insulators Ltd. has promoted a new Project GUJARAT POLYFILS (GPF) to establish state of art technology based integrated plant for manufacture of Fully Drawn Yarn (FDY), both Semi Dull, Bright & Super Bright (Trilobal), with capacity of 12500 MT per annum., which has been enhanced to 25000 MT in March 2010 .GPF has tied up with M/s TMT Japan world renowned Technology & FDY machinery manufacturing company. GPF is a green field project for which utilities & others machineries has been taken from leading quality machine equipment manufacturers of India.



M/s TMT machinery is supplying high quality equipments for production specialty polyester FDY production. GPF has plans to expand its capacity further in FDY (both Semi Dull & Bright), POY & POLY. , with the ultimate capacity of 45000 per annum in next 2 to 3 years.
