Henry George Butcher, the founder of Henry Butcher & Co., was born in the small town of Leighton Buzzard north of London; he died in 1939. Since the firm was founded, the Henry Butcher name has been synonymous with high quality auction and valuation services to industry - reflected in its status as market leader throughout the whole of the last century.
