Company Description

Incas of the Americas was Incorporated in October 1989 as part of the Incas group of Companies. The Group was made up of individual partnerships with manufacturing locations in Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain and the United States. HoINCAS CANADAver, as is usual with partnerships, which are run by individual entrepreneurs, there was the inevitable clash of ideas. One faction of the Group wanted to go in one direction, while another faction wanted to go in another direction. This led to the eventual break up of the Group. Incas France and Incas Italy were sold to a European competitor in 1999. Incas Germany changed its name and continued as a separate entity to this day. Incas Spain and Incas Greece were liquidated as they were in a very small market. Incas Canada acquired the assets of Incas U.S.A. and moved them into Canada. At this time the Incas group turnover was a mere $70,000,000 U.S.$ worldwide. Our main product lines were Carbon Paper, Correctable Ribbons, Printer Cartridges for Word Processors and Dot Matrix Printers, Cash Registers, Point of Sale Printers, Banking Machine Ribbons, Ink Jets, Laser Cartridges for Printers and Photocopiers, Film Transparency and Paper for Ink Jets and Computer Screen Filters. At this time in 1999, after the break up of the Group, Incas Canada, in order to maintain its competitive edge in the marketplace, and reduce its production costs, entered upon a Joint Venture with a Partner in China. This partnership has worked out well for Incas and its customers Worldwide. Incas is now able to ship our products under the Incas Brand Name to our clients in Algeria, Brazil, Costa Rica, Columbia, Guatemala, Guyana, Mexico, Chile, Israel, Turkey, Venezuela, and South Africa. We still produce the small volume items in Canada. However by manufacturing the container load quantities in China, Incas is able to offer direct shipments from China to any point in the world. This reduces the freight costs. We are also able to gain extra time, as we no longer have to ship the containers from Toronto to Miami then on to its final destination. We are no longer subject to the whims of the American Customs at the Canadian/U.S.A. border.
