Types of operations of JSC “Brivais Vilnis” are processing of fish, production of canned fish preserves and cold storage services. AS “Brivais Vilnis” is one of the major and economically most developed fish processing companies in all the Baltic States, founded in the year 1949. Raw materials for industrial fish processing and production of fish foodstuff are mainly sea fish of the Baltic Sea – sprats and Baltic, as JSC Brivais Vilnisll as ocean fish – mackerel, herring, sardines, sardinellas. Currently JSC “Brivais Vilnis” is producing more than 70 types of different preserves – fish preserves in oil, in its own sauce with oil and tomato sauce, fish preserves in different sauces, which are packed in different containers. The company successfully sells its products in the domestic market and exports it to more than 30 world countries by about 4 million cans a month. The possibility to develop intensively in the export markets in the CIS countries, as well as the European Union and Asia is determined by the professionalism of food technologists, company’s high demands for selection of raw materials, precisely observed product production recipes. On international scale, JSC “Brivais Vilnis” has received opinion as being one of the most qualitative product manufacturers, which is proved by several Gold Prizes in its product group in international annual foodstuff fairs World Food and ProdExpo.
