Radiation Detection, Imaging and Dosimetry
The research of Korea University laboratory are various radiation applications such as astronomy searching the radiation from stars, national security finding nuclear materials and smuggled goods in the airport or harbor, radiation monitoring in the nuclear plant, dosimetry estimating dose of patient and health care provider, and imaging technology in the clinical field. In the hardware, we develop the advanced radiation imaging equipments using nuclear physics with electronic engineering. In the software, we evaluate radiation applications using Monte Carlo method which simulates the real experiment. Using the developed hardware and software, we estimate the reaction and effect related with radiation in the field of medical science, physics and engineering.
