The original company was formed in 1975 in Matlock, Derbyshire. For many years the main business area was the import and distribution of hobby radio equipment, and by 1990 the company had grown to dominate this market in the UK. During this period many excellent relationships had been established with Far Eastern manufacturers of radio equipment and associated accessories. A new division of the company was formed in 1997 to design, sLowe Electronics Ltd.ce and market high quality audio accessories for use with radio equipment such as earpieces, microphones and headsets. The growth of this new division over the last three years has been such that it now represents over 60% of the company turnover, currently over ?.5 Million p.a.
