About Us:
Luminous Renewable Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (LRES) was incorporated in the year 2007. Majority stake of this company is owned by Luminous PoLUMINOUS RENEWABLE ENERGY SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITEDr Technology (LPT), which is a USD 400 million battery, inverter and home electrical company and LPT in turn is owned by Schneider Electric.
Our Business & Manufacturing Base:
Since inception, Luminous Renewable Energy have been using Whisper range of wind turbines of Southwest Wind Power ,Arizona, USA. South West Wind Power have sold more than 30000 Whisper wind turbines (all capacities combined) since 1986 (last 25 years ) and as such ,the Whisper is the most popular & time tested wind turbine in the world. During year 2007 and 2008 LRES was importing Whisper Wind turbines from Southwest Windpower, USA for carrying out Wind Solar Hybrid Projects in India.
Since the year 2009 LRES obtained manufacturing license from Southwest Windpower and have been manufacturing Whisper 500 initially and later Whisper 200 for supply to their dealers in India and adjoining countries who in turn started Wind Solar Hybrid project implementation. LRES also developed complete in-house capability for power electronics, Mechanical engineering & electrical alternator design & Manufacture
From the year 2011, Southwest Windpower started using LRES manufactured Whisper 200 and Whisper 500 wind turbines & controllers since they found it more cost effective and also equally good in quality. During the period 2011 and 2012, LRES supplied more than 150 numbers Whisper 200 and more than 50Nos Whisper 500 to Southwest Windpower. Visiting Southwest Wind power production and electronics managers carried out regular pre-dispatch inspection at LRES plant and were fully satisfied
Till date our company has manufactured more than 600 Nos. Whisper 500 and more than 500 Nos. Whisper 200 and Whisper 100(M) combined. While the bulk of these productions have been supplied to our dealers in India and abroad, we ourselves have installed more than 3000KW of Wind Solar Hybrid plants in India and adjoining countries.
Takeover of Whisper Brand:
South West Wind Power sold global manufacturing and branding rights to us on perpetual basis in Dec 2012. Since then LRES has been manufacturing Whisper 200, Whisper 100(M) and Whisper 500 and supplying them globally to a large number of erstwhile Southwest Windpower dealers and also to other interested parties.
Due to closure of SouthWest Wind power in February, the demand grew further. From February 2013 to May 2015 we have supplied overseas more than 500 numbers Whisper200 and Whisper 100(M) combined and more than 50 No. Whisper500. We now supply to more than 40 countries all over Europe, North & South America, Australia, Asia & Africa.

We have successfully designed and manufacture Windistar 4500 (4.5 KW / 5.5KW) Off Grid / Grid tie wind turbines and successfully deployed more than 50 numbers in USA, Canada, Greece, Vietnam and India.

Our Windistar400 (400W) wind turbine which actually produces 400W at 12.5 m/s wind speed unlike other micro turbines and is economical & popular

The company has a proprietary state of art technology for wind solar diesel hybrid power plants to reduce diesel fuel consumption by as much as 80% controlled by a fully automated master controller.

We generate, store and deliver electricity at remote locations where grid power have not reached. Our remote monitoring systems monitor the operations via internet. Worldwide, specialised companies having such experience in design & manufacturing wind turbines, electronic control systems, and battery storage systems are indeed few.
