Emirates Environmental Technology Co. Ltd. is the ordered representative of the JV Nael-luT AI Ain which is assigned by the Centre of Waste Management for Abu Dhabi with the Operation and Improvement of the MSW Treatment Plant and Compost Plant in AI Ain. This Improvement includes an optimisation of the existing compost plant and a Plastic Recycling Plant as a BOT project as an extension of the existing MSW sorting plant. Therefore Emirates Environmental Technology Co. Ltd. (Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, AI Ain) is investing 50 Mio AEO in a new recycling plant for LOPE and HOPE plastics.
Since August 2008, daily 1,200 ton of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW)and 400 ton of green and garden waste reaches the MSW sorting
Plant:
- 10% of the incoming material is sold for further recycling
Purposes
- 5% of the incoming waste is processed further in the new
Plastic Recycling Plant
- 55% of the incoming waste is producing high quality compost
under the brand name EcoSOIL
Max. 30% of the incoming material reaches the landfill.

The new Plastic Recycling Plant will be an extension to the existing sorting plant. During the process of this facility, plastic films and
plastic 3D material a,e.recovered. The main purpose is to treat those films and bottles which are made of PE (Polyethylene) to prepare them for re-usage in the production of new material and therefore to increase the value of the material.
The plant is divided into 2 lines, out of which one can treat HOPE materials (high density polyethylene, like shampoo bottles, juice
container bottles, etc) and one can treat LOPE materials (low density polyethylene, plastic films). Each line has a capacity of 25t daily.
The output product on those 2 lines will be a high-quality HOPE and LOPE granulate which will be sold for further fabrication of new
plastic products.
