ABOUT Manhas Texteis, Lda. MANHA'S TEXTEIS, Lda. THE COMPANY�S HISTORY Our company began operating in 1962 and, for almost 14 years, production was limited to traditional blankets made on wooden looms and knitted jumpers made using manually-operated machines. In the nineties, new machines were purchased and production was tailored to the children�s fashion sector. In 1999, the family�s second generation represented by Américo and Jorge Manha changed the company�s name from Josafil to Manha's Texteis and, in so doing, further differentiated the company and more closely identified it with the family name. In addition, from this moment on, the company focused on the area of home textiles and, in particular, on knitted, Jacquard, Intarsia and Aran, blankets and cushions. Increasing production came alongside technically modernising equipment and productive processes - a process which culminated in 2002. PRODUCTS We specialise in producing knitted blankets both for beds and decorative purposes in the different sizes which are most common in this product range: 75 x 100; 80 x 100; 90 x 90; 90 x 120; 120 x 160; 130 x 170; 140 x 200; 150 x 220; 220 x 260 y 275x280 cm. Our priorities are satisfying our customers, the high quality of our products achieved through very carefully selecting raw materials and applying the most modern design trends to our production line. AIMS Since starting out, exporting has been a key component of our strategy. We have markets in countries as different as Germany, Spain and Holland continue to strive towards breaking into other markets. The quality of our products together with our competitive prices enables us to strongly attract both intermediaries and end consumers. For this reason, we are now building new relationships with potential customers in the middle and upper sectors of the market. This will allow us to increase our speed, flexibility and profitability, as well as to better satisfy our customers.
