A family owned company where the businee has traditionally been run by the family members themselves (the fMuftuoglu Oil-Soap Ind. & Trade Ltdth generation being in charge today) since its foundation in 1910. Sakip Muftuoglu, the founder of the company developed a recipe for a very special soap with the main ingredients being a combination of pure Olive and Sweet Bay Leaf oil extracted from the local trees of the Southern Mediterannian coast of Turkey.   Today his great-granson still uses the same recipe and traditional organic process to produce "DAPHNE" soap.
This picture shows the first soap made in 1910 in a special hand-made mold,as being the remembrance of the first manufacturing day.
