nGimat LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary and nanopowder business-unit of nGimat Co. Located in Lexington, KY, the subsidiary focuses on production, scale-up and applications development of nanopowders and value-added nanopowder intermediates such as dispersions, coatings and nanocomposites. nGimat LLC products include sub-micron and nanosized powders, typically with metal oxide, metal phosphate and select metal compositions. Applications for these nanopowders cover Li-ion batteries, fuel processing, catalysis, sensors, nanocomposite dielectrics, wire-insulation coatings and ceramic lasers. For Li-ion batteries, nano to sub-micron sized powders enable enhanced rate-capability for high-ponGimatr military, electric-vehicle & consumer applications. Many nGimat products are sold in quantities suited for research and development studies via our distribution partner Sigma Aldrich. Larger quantities and custom nanopowder compositions can be purchased directly from us. nGimat has a state-of-the-art analytical and battery prototyping lab, and maintains close ties with the University of Kentucky, Georgia Tech and KY-Argonne Battery Manufacturing R&D Center for extended needs. nGimat Co., the parent company, is located in Atlanta, GA. Our intellectual property portfolio covers processing of thin-film and nanopowders primarily using the proprietary NanoSpray Combustion (SM) process, as well as a variety of applications for both classes of materials.
