Company Description

NLMK Verona SPA is a steel maker located in Verona (Italy), part of NLMK Group, specialized in the production of forging ingots and heavy plates.

NLMK Verona is a modern ecological steel plant where the production of steel starts from a selected scrap. The scrap is melted in an Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) and refined in a second metallurgy ladle furnace (LF). The vacuum degassing is an important step in NLMK Verona Spa process to ensure a quality steel with low gas content (Hydrogen and Nitrogen).

Our steelmaking process ensures a low content of residual elements (Cu, Sn, Sb; As, etc.) and a low content of inclusion content (clean steel).

To complete the production process the liquid steel is solidified by the bottom pouring ingot casting system. To guaranty an high quality ingots product we have an accurate control of the casting parameters and the pouring inert atmosphere.

Ingots are sold to forging companies or rolled by our plant.

We can supply HR plates from 20 to 200 mm thick, and forged plates from 150 to 800 mm thick.
Main grades are C45, 1.2311, 1.2312, 1.2738, AISI 4140 and 42CrMo4.

Last but not least, we produce also forged and turned bars in grades AISI4130 and AISI4340, 1.2343 and 1.2344, 1.2714 and 1.2738, C45 and 42CrMo4 Q+T, 30NiCrMo12 Q+T.
