Northern lights ginseng is grown in the ottawa valley on Northernlights Ginseng family farm near quyon in the pontiac, west Quebec. Coming here in 1980 from Europe, we were intrigued to discover ginseng being grown in Canada. We planted our first ginseng in 1982. Awestruck by our first experience of the aurora borealis, we named our enterprise "northern lights ginseng farm". In our northern location, soil and climate differing from other growing areas in Canada and the us, we have been growing roots of high quality for 24 years, recognized as somewhat of a specialty by Chinese buyers in Canada and abroad.
