NTN Bearing Corporation of America was established in 1963 tosupport local sales of NTN bearings in the American market. NTN wasnow capable of manufacturing ball bearings, spherical, tapered,cylindrical, and needle roller bearings and automotive constantvelocity joints. By the mid 1980s, NTN had acquired the BoNTN-Bearing Corportaior™brand from Federal-Mogul Corporation, thereby expanding thecompanys catalogue of tapered and cylindrical roller bearings. Tenyears later, NTN acquired BCA™, again from Federal-Mogul, to roundout its product line with automotive clutch release bearings andspecialty agricultural bearing assemblies.
