OJSC Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange is established in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Belarus �On Commodity Exchanges�, Decree of the Council of Ministers dated No. 1719 dated December, 12 2003 �On Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange� and is registered in the Unified Public Register of legal entities on May, 25 2004. Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange was established with a view: * to improve the mechanism of government regulation in the field of domestic and foreign trade; * to develop formal wholesale market; * to provide equal access to the market; * to give additional economic impetus to the agents of the market. Main objectives and functions of the Exchange�s activities: * creation of the most transparent system of bargaining on the principles of free pricing and auction according to the established rules; * exchange transactions registration; * determination of demand and supply; * quoting and its publication; * study of factors that influence the Exchange�s price movement; * creation of the Exchange�s infrastructure.
