Company Description

POLYDROS, S. A. was founded in 1961 by Mr. Tibor Pietsch, owner of the international patent for the manufacture of cellular glass in a continuous process, and Mr. Aurelio Czilchert-Mayr .

The first manufacturing plant was established in Madrid . Then in 1980, the production department was moved to the Industrial Zone in Alcobendas , Madrid , where, at present, both the production and the cutting lines, and all the different departments, including the offices, are located.

Even though POLYDROS, S. A. originally dedicated its activity, to the manufacture of products for thermal insulation, made out of cellular glass, to be used in the construction industries, it was in the early 70s when the production systems and the composition of the materials used POLYDROSre changed, in order to develop a specific cellular glass for the newly created cosmetic division.

In the mid 80s, a new half-finished product warehouse was established, and the first packaging line for cosmetic products was originated. At the same time, a third division was created in the Company, dedicated to the marketing of a new cellular glass product, this time directed to the industrial cleaning sector in the catering business.

In the year 2000, a second warehouse is established in the Alcobendas Industrial Zone, where, in its 2.000 m2 , new product packaging machinery is being installed, in order to ensure a complete service to the clients.

Nowadays, POLYDROS , S. A. exports its different product lines to Germany , France , Italy , The United Kingdom, Japan , The United States, etc.
