, in Korea in 1985, when there was no such industry yet. Today, it has become the largest domestic provider of stamping leadframes only after 10 years in the leadframe field. It has also become one of the world's Top Ten companies in this field, offering about 1000 products and over 70 major clients at home and abroad.

With its high technology and manufacturing know-how, Poongsan Microtec made the QFP100PIN and 160PIN for the first time in Korea in 1992. Following its success in developing the TQFP100PIN, the company earned the world's recognition for highly advanced technology. It gained a global competitive edge by obtaining the ISO9002 certification in 1994 and the QS9000 in November 2000.

Earning more than 90% of sales through exports, Poongsan Microtec bolstered its global business and price competitiveness by establishing Poongsan Microtec Philippines Inc. (PSMP) in 1996.
