QSOLAR is a leading solar energy company holding a revolutionary patent on the panel manufacturing process
called Spraytek99.

Qsolar (Shanghai) Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. design, develop, manufacture and sell photovoltaic modules to a wide range of markets in Europe and in the US. Headquartered in Calgary ( Canada ), we also have offices in London (UK) and Shanghai (China ) for manufacturing operations.

We use cutting edge technologies to produce high-quality and unique polycrystalline panels with competitive cost structures. We manufacture solar PV panels using our new proprietary patented technology called SPRAYTEK99. Our manufacturing process results in significantly
reduced cost of solar panels enabling us to have unlimited possibilities such as colored modules, using any substrate like bricks, wood or tiles, having any size and any power, etc...

We also aspire to be socially and environmentally responsible in every decision we make and we are proud to say that we have the smallest carbon footprint in the industry.

HISTORY

QSOLAR was founded in UK 2007 by the current CEO, Mr Andreas Tapakoudes.

In April 2007, the company started development work on the solar panel manufacturing process in order to reduce time, materials and cost of the final product; in August 2008 final tests of a proprietary spraying technique using a proprietary compound developed for encapsulating solar cells was successfully achieved.

In January 2009 the company started a pilot production of solar panels using this new manufacturing process with first orders and inquiries coming some weeks later from over 20 different countries.

In April 2009 first solar panels using SPRAYTEK79 were shipped to Nigeria, UK and Spain and in June 2009 QSolar Ltd files a patent application to protect its new revolutionary process and compound.

Soon the company earned a reputation as a trustworthy partner that always demonstrates its value in practice. As the company grew, it maintained a reputation for high quality and innovative products and excellent customer service.

The same month, the company received a pilot order from a major UK construction company, ELLMER Constructions, a member of Byrns group and became an approved supplier to the group.

The technology has been kept current to provide our customers the most cost effective, flexible solar products available. We still continue to develop our technological base and our new waste disposal plant powered with solar energy is just the start of the new solar revolution.
