SHRUTI IMPEX emerged from THAR GROUP, which exists since 1994.
Shruti Impex has had a colorful past. What makes it more special is that it is a brain child of a woman.
THAR HANDICRAFT has always supported women in the society. Women always have taken a back seat when it comes to business in a country like India. And that is the reason when Mrs. RAKHI PUROHIT came up with an idea to start her own handicraft business she was whole heartedly supported. She had a vision to uplift the women in the society. Bring them out of the usual household chores and enhance their creativity.
An ordinary woman in India is expected to know stitching and threading work. But there are some women in India who not only know stitching but are also very creative in their work.
Mrs. Purohit started this company with a motive to provide employment to such women in the society who are below poverty line (BPL) and support women empoSHRUTI IMPEXrment.
Thus Shruti Impex Was born in 2008 and has been nurtured by Mrs. Rakhi since then and mainly deals in textiles and upholstery works as in this women can contribute to a greater extent. Many new designs and ideas come from such women who have learnt such ancient styles of threading, Stitching and various types of work like Suzani, Gudadi, kantha, khambariya and many others from their forefathers and kept the skill alive.
Women from all over India who have migrated from different states came together and with them they brought the skills and culture of different states.
