The Scientific Industrial firm ORT was formulated in 1991, with its head office and factory situated in St. Petersburg, Russia. Its superior quality of products as SIF ORTll as workmanship has positioned SIF ORT as the preferred and sole supplier of military tents to the Ministry of Defence and relief tents to the Ministry of Emergency in Russia.
SIF ORT, over the past 17 years has consistently been represented at leading aid exhibitions, which has proven its commitment to assist the homeless, while developing long and lasting relationships with aid agencies, such as the United Nations and the Red Cross, to name but a few.
With the most relief efforts centred in-and-around Africa, the need to expand its efforts culminated into a branch being opened in Centurion SA in 2003, strategically positioned to act as a gateway into Africa.
SIF ORT is internationally renowned for its simplistic yet durable frame design, called "Frame Modular" and boasts a quality canvas that complies with ISO 9073-4, ISO 811 and ISO 7771 as was certified by Red Cross tests in Geneva. The principal kinds of production are Military, Humanitarian, Camping and Lodge and Commercial tents.
SIF ORT's capabilities also include skeleton awnings for the construction industry and designing of products according to a prospects exact requirements and specification, where its productive and creative capabilities are strengthen by its 174 staff compliment and its 12 engineering specialists (Intelligentsia Men) .
