During the 17th century king Ferdinando IV , Bourbon king of Two Sicilies, founded the Royal Silk Factory of S.Leucio, a few kilometers from the Royal Palace of Caserta, to make silk fabrics like or better than that produced in Lyon (France). Soon the products orf Royal ilk factory such as taffeta, lampas, damask liserè, and all fabrics were famous among European nobility. Now we still use the same fabrics for modern product, having ancient taste.
