Founded in 1961 by an absolutely determined couple Mr and Mrs Chua the garment firm was initially known as Josefinas Ladies SO-EN GARMENTS CORPORATIONar Manufacturing with Obette as trademark Later on it adopted the Soen trademark for ladies wear and Omni for mens wear

In 1978 Soen Garments Corp came into its stable existence then later in 1979 Josefina Manufacturing Incorporated was established which is housed in a four (4) storey building located at Araneta Ave Quezon City Philippines
