Stemed is the first and the largest disposable medical products (mainly made up of non-woven) manufacturer in Turkey. Established in 1992 from scratch, Stemed Medical Disposable began in a small facility in ankara, concentrating on disposable non-woven products.Stemed, at first, manufactured only gowns and basic drapes, such as cover sheets, minor surgery drapes and basic angiography drapes. At the beginning of 1993, we evolved our own pouch technology with special drainage port and began manufacturing complex arthroscopy drapes with fluid collection pouch and cystoscopy drapes with examination sleeve and irrigation pouch.Today stemed manufactures very high quality pouch type drapes with the highest value for money across Europe. Our cesarean pouches are legendary and we can mount them on any base drape you can imagine. For the ophthalmology, we manufacture many different types of patient drapes; from mini 41*41cm PE sheets to 150*240 full body covers from non-woven materials. T. U. R drapes with specimen collection pouch, shoulder arthroscopy drapes, vertical isolation drapes with drainage, a full body abdominal/perinea drape etc are just a few of more than 150 different drapes.Annually, stemed churns out gowns and drapes using more than 900.000 m2 of various types of non-woven.Today the stemed plant is a purpose-built 4500m2 manufacturing site, on a company owned property of 46.000 m2 land, devoted to the conversion of best quality raw materials such as ahlstrom, kimberly -clark,3m, avery and the like to the state-of-the art surgical drapes and gowns of very high quality.
