TARİŞ' is the conglomerata of fTaris different unions of agricultural cooperative societies specialized in marketing four basic agricultural products, namely, dried figs, Sultana Raisins, Olive oil, Cotton and Cotton yarn as well as their derivatives and by-products.These basic agricultural products are produced mainly in the Aegean region and are well known through out the world for their high qualities.
Today 'TARİŞ' is a giant organization with its 123 cooperatives and around 100.000 members living in the aegean region.These cooperatives are part of the four unions which has separate Board of Directors and joint administrative sections at the headquarters in İZMİR.

COTTON , COTTON YARN and GREY KNITTED FABRIC
With our 54 cooperatives, 32 ginning & 2 sawginning plants, we cover 1/8 of Turkey's total 100% raw cotton production. We are also the country's one of the biggest producers/exporters of 100% raw cotton yarn (open-end, carded, combed both for weaving and knitting) and grey knitted fabrics, which are recognized worldwide with their high quality.Our spinning mill leads in Balkans with its 100.000 spindle capacity and with the achievement of monthly 1250 tons of first grade quality yarns per month by using Aegean Cotton.

DERIVATIVES AND BY-PRODUCTS
The derivatives and by-products of the four basic commodities, briefly described above, are the alcohol and the eau-de-cologne factories using industrial type figs, vinegar factory using industrial type sultanas, oil extraction plant using cotton seeds, margarine factory using cotton seed, sunflower or soya bean oils. Also soap and detergent plants operate mainly for the local market.The by-products such as first and second-cut linters from the cotton seed plant and various types of cotton vastes from the cotton yarn factory are exported periodically.
