Vietnam Timber and Forest Product Association is a non-governmentalorganization representing the wood processing bussinesses, forestryenterprises, export enterprises, enterprises operating in the fieldof trading forest products, the agencies of researching andtraining. The Association is a non-governmental organizationoperating under the principle of voluntariness, equality and mutualbenefit, non-profit and complying with the States law and theAssociations charter which was approved with fVIETNAM TIMBER& FOREST PRODUCT ASSOCIATION main functions bythe government, as follows: (i) function as a connection betweenenterprises and government agencies to reflect the thoughts,aspirations and requirements for the State, and recommend policiesto promote production, to make power for business community; (ii)Consulting and debating in the fields related to the development ofindustry and trade of forest products; (iii) Representing thebusiness community to create a relationship of cooperation, mutualsupport and connection in the business and on behalf of thebusiness community to take part in conferences and seminars at homeand abroad relating to wood processing industry; (iiii) Makingservices for Vietnam enterprises such as introducing newtechnologies on business, creating human resources and developingthem, and supporting businesses to look for customers and tradepromotion, expanding export markets, providing information onmarkets and on consumer tastes of customers and information ontrade, prices, economy and business partners.
